The all new cristyangulo.com

It's finally here.

So much went into the launch of my new brand and website over the past year or so that I don't even know where to start.

I think I began to think seriously about all of this last spring when I fell in love with a website template. I knew that they revealed new designs each spring and fall so I decided I'd wait until the fall in case there was something else I liked more. And when fall came around, I did. But, I knew that I'd also want to unveil a whole series of new branding materials at the same time, so I started hunting for the right designer. I found Salted Ink and loved Sara's style of work immediately. It was really my first email exchange and phone call with her that sealed the deal though. It took a few months before we could get started, (Sara's got a waiting list- the woman is good!) so when Site House had a Black Friday sale, I swiped a download of my website template right away to hold until the time was right.

Finally, February rolled around and I got to start brainstorming for my new brand! That part was so much fun. In the end, I loved the work Sara did and I feel like it truly fits my company's identity and what the future has in store.

Once branding was complete, I knew I needed to spend time customizing my new website. I decided to handle the task myself this time, and it took so much longer than I thought. And when I made the decision to leave my full-time corporate communications job to get the chance to work with the incredible Celina Gomez Photography team, (more on that to come), I knew I had to get a move on with my website and updating my business cards!

So that's when I called on Montanna. She created a design that worked perfectly with my branding materials and even set up my cards to feature my images on the back. I love them!

And around the same time my cards arrived, I began to wrap up my website. All of the brand new content includes details about my photography style, the services I offer and opportunities to learn more about me. What I'm most excited about is my destination weddings informational page. I am STOKED to start offering destination wedding coverage. Leaving the travel company I worked for was really hard for me. I loved working in the travel industry and shooting weddings all over the world would be a way to keep my love of travel alive.

My goal is to have a destination wedding booked by the end of the year and I'll be offering perks for anyone who refers a booking client to me.

The past week of being a full-time photographer has been a whirlwind. I am so thankful to every single person who has ever supported this passion of mine. That includes my family, friends, clients and coworkers. And there's way I would be making this move right now without the leadership of my new boss lady and mentor, Celina Gomez. She's given me the opportunity to work with her because she is so incredibly busy! Not only is she so talented, she's a savvy business woman with excellent client relations and on top of that, is selflessly willing to teach.

To wrap up this novel, I'll just end with saying thanks again to anyone reading and I hope to blog more this year! Let me know what you think about the new website! www.cristyangulo.com
